terms of service
general terms
- The artist has the right to refuse commissions with elements or topics they are uncomfortable with or if they deem the request too complicated for their current skill set.- For commission requests regarding DnD props (weapons, jewelry, npcs, etc), companions (robots, steel defenders, animals, etc), tattoos, logos, not character commissions basically—the prices will start at $50 but may rise depending on complexity.- Prices listed on the commission sheet are solely for Personal Commissions—if you intend to ask for a Commercial Commission, we will discuss the prices as well as any other details needed.- Communication will be dealt with through emails or DMs (Twitter/X, Instagram, Reddit, Gank, or Tumblr). Clear and concise communication is necessary to ensure client satisfaction. Any rude or ill behavior will not be tolerated by the artist and may lead to cancellation of the commission.- Nothing made by the artist may be used in any blockchain-related technology, to include NFTs or any sort of cryptocurrency.- Returning clients, having commissioned at least two (2) pieces, are offered a 10% discount.
payment
- The client will be sent an invoice after the initial sketch is approved through the email they enter on the order form. Alternatively, if the client pays through Paypal, the invoice will be sent through their Paypal email.- The client must pay 50% of the total amount agreed upon to proceed with the commission—and the final 50% when finished; payment in full is also accepted. This is to ensure both parties will not have any worries regarding the completion of the commission—such as being ’ghosted’ or ’scammed’ by either party.- Currency will be USD, done through Paypal or Ko-Fi for international clients. And PHP for local (Philippines) clients on GCash.- In situations where the client will only have the payment after a set date, the artist will not release the initial sketch until they receive proof that the client has the funds.- Paying full upfront is an accepted payment method but not suggested.
process
- The artist can work with visual references and written descriptions. But in situations where the details are still yet to be fine-tuned for the character or piece, the artist will ask for extra details. The artist may also send 2-3 varied examples to help the client visualize the piece if need be.- The artist offers free three minor revisions during any stage of the commission and one major revision only during the initial sketch. Any more revisions will have an additional 20 USD.- Turn-over time will span from five days to three weeks, heavily dependent on queue order and any outside factors. The client will be updated on any delays regarding the commission.- After approval of the initial sketch, the artist will send updates on 2 stages for approval: Cleaned Sketch/Lineart Stage and Colored Flat Stage.- When the commission is finished, the artist will send a low-quality version for the final approval. Once the remaining balance is settled and the commission approved, the artist will then deliver the high-resolution piece through the client’s email address to ensure better quality. As well as a watermarked and unwatermarked version.
rights
- The artist has the rights to post the commission piece on their social media accounts, to promote themselves, and add it to their portfolio.- The client has the right to claim their character and to post the artwork online but must credit the artist, by tagging or mentioning them in the post itself or in the comments. In that situation, the client must post the watermarked version to avoid art theft but may be able to use the unwatermarked version for personal use.- The client has the right to print the art for personal use. But does not have the right to reproduce/sell the print, take credit of the piece, alter anything without the artist’s consent, or use/sell it for anything that involves NFTs, crypto currencies and the like.- For Commercial Commissions, the details will be discussed by both parties with a custom contract made to be signed.
cancellation/refunds
- The artist has the right to cancel the commission and refund the client at any time but will ensure to find another artist to take over the commission or at the very least, help with the searching process.- The client has the right to cancel the commission if they are unsatisfied with the piece. The artist has the right to refuse to refund the down payment, and neither will they ask for the remaining balance. The final output will not be released either.
